Everyone Expected Trump to Live Tweet the Comey Hearing. Here's What He Did Instead...

President Donald Trump had nothing to say about former FBI Director James Comey's testimony about the Russia investigation before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday.

Trump was expected by many to tweet about the hearing or address it while he was speaking to the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Many bars in Washington, D.C. had opened early for Comey's hearing, with one bar offering a free round of drinks for each time Trump tweeted from his personal account about the briefing. By the time the hearing ended, however, Trump had not tweeted. (The bar still did give out a free round of beer to all present).

While Trump spoke to the Faith and Freedom Coalition as Comey's hearing was ending, he discussed achievements made in office and his commitment to religious freedom. Trump told the audience about when a six-year-old son of a fallen Marine had guided him to his father's grave in Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.
