Fox News anchor Shepard Smith apologized Friday afternoon for airing live footage of a man shoot himself at the end of a long car chase on the network.
"We're all very sorry," Smith said. "That didn't belong on TV."
Smith said there had been a five-second delay with the video, but the network did not cut away from the footage in time for the shooting not to be seen.
