Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y) shushed tourists while he was giving a press conference at the Capitol building in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.

As Schumer walked up to the podium, he made a joke about people "obstructing" his way up to it.

"During the first week and a half of the Trump administration, the White House has been untruthful, incompetent, and at times un-American," he began. "They have trafficked in 'alternative facts;' they have signed unconstitutional executive orders; they have been haphazard and downright dysfunctional in running the government."

"They have inserted politics into the National Security Council and deprived it of independent military expertise," Schumer continued.

A tour walked behind Schumer, distracting him. He turned around, saying, "Hey folks, shhhhhhhh ..."

"That was non-Republican, that was tourist obstruction," he joked.
