Obama Calls Dominican Republic 'the Dominican Republican'

President Obama referred to the Dominican Republic as "the Dominican Republican" Thursday during his speech about creating more opportunities for lower-income students to attend college.

Obama made the gaffe while introducing a student from the Latin American country.

"There he is," Obama said. "Good-looking young guy right here. Could not speak a word of English when he moved to the United States from the Dominican Republican at the age of 9."

The president can't seem to get politics off his brain.
