Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy (Conn.) recounted a moment via Twitter when his nine-year-old gave him the opportunity to slam the Koch brothers, prompting Koch Industries to respond directly.

The Democratic senator shared on Friday how he corrected his son after the nine-year-old found a Koch Industries commercial "cool."

An hour or so later, the verified Twitter account for Koch Industries responded to express its gratitude toward Murphy's son, and included a link to an environmental responsibility page on the company website.

Murphy replied by saying he told his science-loving kid that the Koch brothers don't believe in science.

It is unknown at this time what ad Murphy's son found "cool."
