Jesse Jackson Jr. Agrees To Plea Deal

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D., Ill.) has agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors after a investigation in allegations Jackson misused thousands in campaign funds.

He is expected to plead guilty to several charges of conspiracy, false statements, and mail and wire fraud.  Prosecutors are recommending between four and five years in prison and a $10,000 to $100,000 fine.

The judge will issue the final sentence later today.
