President Barack Obama announced Friday that Denis McDonough would be named White House chief of staff.
McDonough is a former Think Progress blogger and longtime Obama adviser. He will replace Jack Lew.
The new White House communications director Jennifer Palmieri is also a former Think Progress blogger. She will replace Dan Pfeiffer, who was promoted to senior adviser.
