After Bashing His Wife's Boss Earlier in the Day, George Conaway Issues a Follow Up Rant to 'Clarify'

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband clarified his critical statements of President Trump's proposed travel ban on Monday.

George Conway, an attorney who works at a New York law firm, castigated Trump's travel ban tweets, claiming they would not help him at the Supreme Court level.

"These tweets may make some [people] feel better, but they certainly won't help OSG [Office of Solicitor General] get five votes in [the Supreme Court], which is what actually matters," Conway wrote. "Sad."

After receiving backlash, Conway clarified his comments, saying he is still a strong supporter of Trump.

Conway withdrew his name from consideration to become the Justice Department's civil division chief last week.
