On Thursday, Nancy Pelosi blamed sequestration for her inability to visit our troops in Afghanistan during Mother’s Day weekend.
PELOSI: Every year for the past few years on Mothers Day I’ve taken a delegation to Afghanistan or Iraq. We’ve been alternating, now mostly Afghanistan for Mothers Day to say thank you our moms and grandmothers serving there. Some young grandmothers, but nonetheless grandmothers. To thank all of our troops for what they do, to protect America’s families. I won’t be going this particular weekend because under sequestration we don’t have CODEL’s.
