The nation’s largest teacher’s union has donated $3 million to its own pro-Democratic Super PAC, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
The National Education Association, which represents 3 million teachers across the nation and has a penchant for supporting mainly Democrats, donated millions to the National Education Association Advocacy Fund, a so-called Super PAC, meaning that it can accept unlimited contributions.
The large donation raises questions about how the teacher’s union is spending its member’s dues.
