John Avlon, editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast, said on Friday’s New Day that Democrats are facing an issue when it comes to defending Planned Parenthood after undercover videos from a pro-life group show officials discussing the sale of aborted fetal tissue.
Avlon said that abortion politics plays out that if a lawmaker is too extreme, they lose.
"Defending the videos, however out of context they are, seems gruesome and puts the Democrats on defense," Avlon said.
Avlon said that Republicans want to present Democrats as pro-abortion in all circumstances, and the undercover videos prove that.
