Durring Wednesday's House Oversight Committee hearing, IRS official Lois Lerner pleaded the 5th, claiming she had done nothing wrong with regards to the agency's targeting of conservative groups. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) and much of the room believed that Lerner had actually waived her 5th amendment right when she read an opening statement.
