Sen. John Kennedy (R., La.) on Monday called Brett Kavanaugh's 2018 Supreme Court confirmation process a "freak show," comparing it to Star Wars' cantina scene.

Kennedy's comments came during Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court confirmation hearing. He told Barrett he hoped the hearings would focus on her judicial philosophy and temperament while noting that things can "turn sour real fast."
